Whats the best location type for buying a rental property?
The best location is the location that will give you best return on investment: but how do you determine that? On Koh Lanta we’ve determined 3 main location types for rental properties:

CLOSE TO THE BEACH (max 1km to the beach)
BEACHFRONT
INLAND (more than 1km to the beach)

How we got this information
Since 2010,  we’ve been managing rental properties in all these 3 categories. And we’ve found that the best return on investments are for non beachfront properties less than 1km to the nearest beach

The combination of medium purchase price, medium-high rental rate and high occupancy has seen the best return on investments (compared to beachfront or inland properties).
